Challenge Group is an AWS/Huawei Cloud partner delivering government and enterprise platforms across Egypt, KSA, and the UAE. Contributed to multiple production platforms as part of cross-functional Agile delivery teams.
- Develop NestJS and Laravel backend services for platforms with 5,000+ concurrent users, on PostgreSQL/Prisma and MySQL. Targeted indexing and query tuning brought API latency down about 35% under production load.
- Moved deployments to container-based CI/CD (Docker, ECR, ECS via CodeBuild/CodePipeline), with Jest, Vitest, Pest, and PHPUnit suites gating each release. Deploy time went from roughly 20 minutes to under 5.
- Designed and built a serverless support chatbot on Amazon Lex and AWS Lambda (Python) with a Twilio channel. It answers routine questions and hands off to a human agent when confidence drops, which cut the support team's manual triage.
- Built a request-and-bid marketplace flow with escalation handling and an in-app Paymob wallet, so users can pay, get paid, and withdraw funds without leaving the platform.
- Shipped bilingual (Arabic/English) live chat over Laravel Reverb WebSockets, voice and SMS through Twilio, FCM push notifications, and S3-backed media storage.
- Built a NestJS rules engine for competition scoring and ranking on Prisma/PostgreSQL, plus live WebSocket leaderboards and Next.js operator dashboards and onboarding screens.
- Set up a client's entire Azure side solo: infrastructure provisioning, API Management as the API gateway, and release pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- Run AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, IAM, Secrets Manager) for 5+ production environments, with CloudWatch dashboards, alarms, and structured logging.
- Hardened API layers across products with Sanctum/JWT auth, RBAC, attribute-based routing, and self-validating DTOs. Bad requests get rejected before they reach business logic.
